  • Publication number: 20260337417
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a curing agent composition comprising a glycidyl-functional poly(meth)acrylate polymer with about 10 wt % to about 20 wt % glycidyl (meth)acrylate units, about 50 wt % to about 80 wt % C1-C8 alkyl (meth)acrylate units, and about 8 wt % to about 15 wt % branched or cyclic C10-C20 hydrocarbyl or terpenyl (meth)acrylate units. Methods are provided for combining this polymer with a polyester having an acid value of about 20 to about 50 to yield an uncured powder coating composition, and for applying and curing this composition on a surface at 150° C. to 250° C. The resulting article comprises a surface with a cured coating formed from the cross-linked glycidyl-functional poly(meth)acrylate polymer and polyester. The cured coating may have both a mid-gloss effect and high visual smoothness.

  • Patent number: 6506605
Abstract: An OBD system is provided for monitoring an ozone depletion system that includes a catalyst coating containing MnO2 applied to a heat exchange surface on a moving vehicle over which atmospheric air passes. A physical characteristic of the catalyst coating or a material containing a physical characteristic within the catalyst coating is sensed to determine the presence or absence of the catalyst coating for detecting catastrophic failure of the ozone depleting system and/or degradation or wear of the catalyst coating to ascertain the efficiency of the catalyst coating.
