  • Patent number: 4509183
Abstract: A linear array of bistable data latches and logic gates arranged to count the binary transitions, both low to high and high to low, of a clock signal and provide a threshold style output code, characterized along the array by high logic states on one side of the threshold point and low logic states on the opposite side. Each latch in the array is permitted to set when a clock transition occurs after the preceding latch has set or to reset when a clock transition occurs after the succeeding latch has reset. Clock phasing and count enable/disable logic may be included along with direct set/reset inputs in order to accomplish parallel and/or ripple preset/clear functions or other output code modifications.

  • Patent number: 4429329
Abstract: A system for the remote visual inspection of a structure including two vessels, one disposed within the otherand defining an annulus therebetween. A guide member is provided circumferentially about an upper periphery of the two vessels. Mounted on the guide member are two motor-driven, diametrically opposed trolleys which support a flexible track member which extends downwardly through the annulus from one of the trolleys and back up the other side of the annulus to the other trolley. At least one motor-driven carrige is mounted on the track member and carries a camera and light source. By appropriate positioning of the trolleys and the carriage, all the surfaces of the vessels defining the annulus are accessible for visual inspection by the camera. In accordance with a particular preferred embodiment, markers are placed at preselected points in the annulus on one of the vessels to permit verification of the location of the camera and carriage.

  • Patent number: 4334212
Abstract: An arrangement of bistable data latches useful with a digital to analog converter for controlling the light output of a lamp. The data latches are provided with individual touch sensitive selection elements for controlling the pattern of binary signals generated at the output of the latches to define the voltage available for energizing the lamp or load. The selection elements may be operated in sequence or at random to select the desired output.
