  • Patent number: 7201179
Abstract: A modular fluid supply system for use with a liquid supply source includes a plurality of container packs, a fluid delivery line in fluid communication with the containers of the packs, and a controller. Each container pack includes at least one container that contains a fluid mixture of at least two different fluid components. The fluid delivery line is configured to deliver fluid mixtures from the containers to a tool that utilizes the fluid mixtures, and the controller is configured to selectively and automatically control the flow of the fluid mixture from each container pack to the tool. The modular fluid system can be integrated with a main fluid supply system or independently implemented for continuous and reliable supply of mixed fluids to a particular application, such as off-shore pipeline welding operations.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 3, 2004
Date of Patent: April 10, 2007
Assignee: Air Liquide Industrial U.S. LP
    Inventors: Jeremy Barr, Fred Schweighardt
  • Patent number: 7102098
Abstract: A method and system for diagnosing, solving, and/or controlling, in particular remotely, a given technical problem likely to arise before, during or after a heat treatment operation on metals, in particular in the welding or cutting field, and to provide the most suitable solution thereto, and to do so by minimizing the time needed to solve this problem and therefore by reducing the loss of productivity likely to occur because of this technical problem.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 13, 2003
Date of Patent: September 5, 2006
Assignees: L'Air Liquide - Societe Anonyme a Directoire et Counseil de Surveillance pour l'Etude et l'Exploitataion des Procedes Georges Claude, Air Liquide America Corporation
    Inventors: Philippe Rouault, Fred Schweighardt
