    Abstract: A supplemental cover for and method of reinforcing a book with a spine, a first cover and a second cover is disclosed. The supplemental cover comprises a first sheet and a second sheet. The first sheet is stuff throughout. The second sheet comprises a flexible region and a stiff region. Both sheets are provided with a pressure-sensitive adhesive on one side. The first sheet is adhered to the first cover of the book. The flexible region of the second sheet is adhered to the spine of the book and the first sheet. The stiff region of the second sheet is adhered to the second cover of the book.
