  • Patent number: 4877185
Abstract: An improved oscillating sprinkler comprising a frame having a sprinkler tube mounted for oscillating movement on the frame. An inlet water housing is mounted on the frame and supplies water to the sprinkler tube. The sprinkler tube is driven in an oscillating path by a crank arm, and an eccentric gear mechanism driven by the water being supplied to the sprinkler tube is operably connected to the crank arm. The eccentric gear mechanism is constructed to provide a variable speed output that balances the varible speed output of the crank arm to provide a substantially uniform velocity of oscillating movement for the sprinkler tube. The sprinkler also includes a mechanism for varying the effective length of the crank arm to change the arc of oscillation of the sprinkler tube, and a slip clutch mechanism interconnects the inner end of the sprinkler tube to the housing to permit the sprinkler tube to be manually rotated to shift the spray pattern to one side or the other.

  • Patent number: 4534471
Abstract: The present invention is directed to an improved clip and supporting rack therefor. The clip is constructed with rigid outwardly diverging arms to eliminate the need to force the stamp handle through a throat, and does not require spring loading. Furthermore, the clip easily accommodates stamps having handles of numerous sizes and shapes. One embodiment of supporting rack is free standing and provides circular clip supports forming storage bins for small items such as paper clips and the like. The load from the clips and stamps on the supports is carried down through a central post. Another embodiment of rack is adapted to be straight and wall mounted with spaces provided to permit snap-on of the clips.

  • Patent number: 4492162
Abstract: An ink stamp having movable type bands. The stamp includes an outer housing having a die plate located at its lower end and carrying an ink impregnated stamp. A frame is mounted for vertical movement within the housing and carries a series of endless type bands with each band having a plurality of spaced type characters with the lowermost character in each band adapted to project through an opening in the die plate. An upper handle or knob is connected to the frame and by pulling upwardly on the handle, the frame and bands can be raised above the die plate to a position where the bands can be rotated to change the lowermost type characters, as desired. The stamp also has a provision to adjust the heights of the type bands relative to the outer housing to insure that the lowermost operating type character is at a level flush with the lower surface of the stamp in the die plate.

  • Patent number: 4403415
Abstract: A window shade cutter includes an elongated tubular shade holder which is clamped onto a rolled shade, and an elongated tubular collar which is rotatably coupled to the shade holder. A guillotine cutter subassembly is supported on the collar which defines a guide supporting a blade holder and cutting blade in an enclosed fashion. The shade cutter is preferably mounted on a rolled shade at the point of manufacture and packaged as a unit therewith.

  • Patent number: 4131273
Abstract: An apparatus for feeding record cards to and from a utilization station in a record card utilization machine comprises a support housing for a card origination hopper and a card collection hopper, which is mounted below the origination hopper. A transfer carriage is mounted for reciprocal, pivoted movement from a first position where it receives a card from the origination hopper, to a second position at the utilization station where the card is utilized, and back to the same first position where it returns the card to the collection hopper. A card feeding and returning mechanism is associated with the hoppers to feed cards to and remove cards from the carriage at different times in the sequence of operation of the apparatus, but nevetheless with the carriage at the same first position in its path of reciprocal, pivoted travel.
