    Abstract: The polymer herein described comprises an anhydride-containing group represented by the structure: ##EQU1## wherein R is a residue of a dibasic acid selected from the group consisting of aliphatic dicarboxylic acids and aromatic dicarboxylic acids, and X is selected from the group consisting of hydrogen, halogen, lower alkoxy, lower alkyl and nitro. The polymers are essentially useful as photopolymerizable materials and as adhesives.
