  • Patent number: 6644628
Abstract: A vehicle leveling apparatus for leveling vehicles, especially large recreational vehicles, trailers and the like. A support base having a channel formed by parallel inclined walls is disposed on an uneven parking surface. A leveling track is pivotally disposed within the channel of the support base. The leveling track can be adjusted to different height levels. The leveling track is set at a desired height and tilted toward the wheels of a vehicle. The vehicle is moved onto the leveling track, thereby raising the vehicle into a level position. An adjustable chock prevents the vehicle from traveling off the leveling track.

  • Patent number: 5210878
Abstract: A sleeve for the protection of the upper and lower arm of a person engaged in welding or the like includes a forearm pad providing insulation and additional comfort for the support arm of the welder. A person using the sleeve of the present invention may comfortably rest his support arm upon the material being welded without discomfort or burns from the heat absorbed due to the welding of the material, due to the forearm pad. Additionally, the sleeve may be clipped to the collar or other clothing in order to prevent slippage down the arm of the welder. The insulating material contained within the pocket of the pad is replaceable in the event of wear and tear, and the pad has a strap overlay for further securing the sleeve to the arm of the wearer. A further embodiment provides a cape for the protection of the upper chest and back of the wearer, in combination with sleeves essentially including the various features of the sleeve of the first embodiment.

  • Patent number: 4884297
Abstract: A protective guard for the arm of a welder which includes both padding and insulation to cushion and protect the arm from heat in activities such as welding or similar tasks. The guard includes a pad and a flexible flap which is applied over the upper surface of the arm in order to more completely protect the arm above the area normally covered by the cuff of the standard welding glove. The guard may be easily applied by the use of elastic straps attached to the pad and the pad is sufficient length to extend past the elbow in order to prevent both the arm and elbow from coming into contact with heated objects, while the flexible flap is formed to allow complete bending of the arm without binding at the inside of the elbow. At least the outer portions of the guard are preferably formed of durable heat-resistant materials, such as leather.
