  • Publication number: 20160071501
Abstract: This assembly comprises at least one plate which, in addition to a diffuser function, is able to vibrate under the effect of a physical stimulus, in particular a sound stimulus, so as to emit a sound wave with a frequency that is audible to a living being and lying between 0.5 and 160 000 Hz. Moreover, selective positioning means provide this assembly with different geometrical configurations in relation to the space in which it is placed. Thus, the acoustic signature of the space can be modified by varying these configurations. The invention relates also to the use of such an assembly and a method for modifying the acoustic properties of a space.

  • Patent number: 7059395
Abstract: A heat exchanger for exchange of heat between a first fluid and a second fluid comprises a stack of pockets (1) mutually aligned in a longitudinal direction and having two header boxes (16, 17) that are mutually juxtaposed in a lateral direction. The first fluid is injected into an upstream connecting channel (12) by a longitudinal nozzle (22) passing through a heat exchanger end face (5) remote from the upstream connecting channel, and at least one other connecting channel (14). This longitudinal nozzle has a cross section of oblong general shape, whose greatest dimension is parallel to the greatest dimension of the pockets. The heat exchanger may be produced particularly in the form of an evaporator for an air-conditioning device for the passenger compartment of a vehicle.

  • Patent number: 6786276
Abstract: The invention relates to tubes for heat exchangers through which a fluid flows, intended to promote heat exchange between an external medium and said fluid, formed by at least two plates connected to each other in order to define a circulation duct. The tube comprises a means for partially blocking the circulation duct intended to keep the passage cross section of said duct substantially constant between an inlet orifice and an outlet orifice. The heat exchangers have plate based tubes and are used especially as an evaporator in an air conditioning system or radiator in the cooling circuit of a vehicle.

  • Patent number: 6585038
Abstract: A plate evaporator comprising a stack of pockets (1) each formed from two dished plates (2, 3) delimiting between them a mutually juxtaposed inlet chamber and outlet chamber (6, 7). One at least of the inlet and outlet pipes (17, 18), disposed at a same end (21) of the stack, communicates with the chambers via an end box (10) interposed between the stack and the pipes. Advantageously, the dimensions of the end box allow a mutual vertical stagger of the pipes (17, 18), facilitating their installation and connection.

  • Patent number: 6129144
Abstract: An evaporator consisting of stacked pockets wherein the refrigerating fluid is injected into an upstream connecting duct formed by a sub-assembly of the pockets by a longitudinal tubing which passes through an end face of the evaporator, distant from the upstream connecting duct, and at least another connecting duct formed by other pockets. According to the invention, the tubing is offset with respect to the centers of the openings through which the pockets forming the other connecting duct communicate between them. This results in an improvement in the heat exchange efficiency. The invention is applicable to the air conditioning of the passenger space of automobile vehicles.

  • Patent number: 4815975
Abstract: A removable dental prosthesis is magnetically secured to an anchor face of a ferromagnetic body implanted in a jaw by an attachment system comprising a saliva-resistant cushioning mass secured in the prosthesis and forming a pocket open toward the anchor face, a ferromagnetic and saliva-resistant shell seated in the pocket and open toward the face, a permanent magnet fixed in the shell and having a magnet face confronting the anchor face, and a permanently magnetized plate having a rear face directly contacting the magnet face, a front face directly confronting the anchor face, and an outer periphery. The plate is of a material not corrosible by saliva and is magnetically polarized like the magnet which itself is of relatively great strength and of a material corrosible by saliva. The outer periphery of the plate is sealed to the shell so as to encapsulate the magnet in the shell with the plate and thereby protect it from corrosion.
