Abstract: The aim of the invention is to localise a terminal (10) when accessing an IP service (15), by means of an access network (1, 2). To this end, a method for allocating an IP address to the terminal (10) is carried out, a database (8) memorises the IP address allocated to the terminal (10) in association with a terminal or user identifier and an identifier of an access point wherein the terminal accesses the access network (1, 2), the access point being associated with localisation information, and the database transmits the localisation information associated with the identifier of the terminal or the user to the service.

The system comprises an access server (11) adapted to receive a correlation element from said terminal (10) at the time of a request for connection to said packet network (20), an identity server (14) adapted to send a cookie to the terminal (10) after receiving a request from the terminal (10), and a proxy server (12) adapted to send said correlation element and a user identifier from said access server (11) to a database (13) connected to the identity server (14), the terminal (10) being adapted to send said cookie at the time of a request for connection to a service provider (30) in order to retrieve said user identifier sent at the time of execution of said procedure for controlling access to the packet server (20).

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for authentication of a user during access to services provided by a data transmission network (5) consisting in transmitting a random number to a user terminal (11), cryptographically calculating authentication data of a user with two actuators (6, 7, 8) of the network (5) with the aid of secret keys proposed by the user, introducing identification data and calculated authentication data into the access request and in transmitting said access request by the terminal (11) to an access controller (10) which transmits a respective authentication request containing the identification and authentication data of the user to each actuator, carrying out an identification procedure (28, 29) by each actuator on the basis of the user identification and authentication data containing in the authentication requests and emitting authentication reports containing authentication results to the terminal (11).
