Abstract: A tool for stripping electric cables includes a mount (1) whereon are slidingly mounted two jaw blocks (2, 3) both co-operating with a common mechanism (4) setting their mutual positions, providing a symmetrical positioning of the two jaw blocks relative to a median geometrical plane. The mechanism (4) includes a threaded rod (40) with a maneuvering knob, mounted fixedly in translation and mobile in rotation relative to the mount, the rod having a first right-hand threaded section (401) screwingly engaged in a through female thread provided in one of the jaw blocks and a second left-hand threaded section (402) having a pitch similar to the former section, the second threaded section being engaged in a through female thread provided in the other jaw block.
