    Abstract: A method of developing a hydrocarbon reservoir by injecting an aqueous solution containing a gas in the form of foam into an injection well. A first step determines a foam displacement model for a flow simulator which is a function of a gas mobility reduction factor and of at least one injection rate-dependent interpolation function. A second step determines a productivity index corrected for the shear thinning effects of the foam in the cells traversed by the injection well, from a productivity index determined by assuming that the aqueous solution containing the gas in foam form is a Newtonian fluid, and a correction factor that is a function of at least one characteristic of the aqueous solution containing the gas in foam form.
