  • Patent number: 4275558
Abstract: A recuperated gas turbine engine fuel governor which controls fuel flow in response to both mechanical and electronic input signals.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 22, 1977
Date of Patent: June 30, 1981
    Assignee: The Garrett Corporation
Inventors: Robert A. Hatch, Harvey B. Jansen, Frederic E. Bolliger, Robert B. Sumegi
  • Patent number: 4274253
Abstract: A recuperated gas turbine engine control and method which provides improved idling and limits both turbine inlet temperature and recuperator inlet temperature to different, preselected maximum levels.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 22, 1977
Date of Patent: June 23, 1981
    Assignee: The Garrett Corporation

  • Patent number: 4266401
Abstract: A control system for a gas turbine engine includes provisions for adjusting fuel flow in relation to gas generator speed, and for adjusting guide vane position in relation to power turbine speed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 22, 1977
Date of Patent: May 12, 1981
    Assignee: The Garrett Corporation

  • Patent number: 4000607
Abstract: Method and apparatus for metering fuel flow to a gas turbine engine includes a first bifurcated movable metering element straddling a pair of opposed metering openings and shiftable to adjust the area of the openings to vary fuel flow from a pump to the combustion chamber of the engine. A second bifurcated movable metering element straddles a second pair of opposed metering openings to adjust fuel flow back to the inlet of the pump in bypassing relationship to the combustor. The movement of the second metering element is responsive to the pressure differential across the first metering openings to maintain this pressure differential substantially constant to allow precise fuel metering by movement of the first metering element.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 7, 1975
Date of Patent: January 4, 1977
    Assignee: The Garrett Corporation
