Abstract: A method of conserving operating data of a vehicle, the method including the steps of collecting the operating data and recording it progressively on board the vehicle, detecting an event, as from a detection, transmitting to at least one external receiver firstly at least some of the data that is being collected and as it is being collected, and secondly at least some of the stored data in a chronological order that is the reverse of the order in which it was recorded, and recording the data received by said external receiver. A conservation system for implementing the method is also provided.

Abstract: A method and system of controlling the locking/unlocking of the network access functions of a terminal including a security processor, like a mobile telephone handset. The terminal is allotted an original public key for verifying the integrity of data loaded into the terminal, a pair of keys associated with the network being generated along with an original approval certificate for the terminal, a locking certificate containing the original approval certificate, the public keys, configuration data and random data, this locking certificate being signed on the basis of the private key associated with the original public key and loaded into the terminal. On entering a user code, the terminal or a function thereof is unlocked after verification of the integrity of the locking certificate and validation of the user code entered.

Abstract: The process for transmitting data between a radio transmitter rig and a receiver rig, through a disturbing transmission medium, consists in: grouping the data to be transmitted into blocks (Bi), adding redundancy information thereto, and splitting the block (Bi) up into a determined number of bit packets (Pj) and, at the receiving end, an attempt is made to reconstruct the data block (Bi) by utilizing the redundancy information, a process in which: a quality is estimated in respect of the transmission of data and a minimum number of packets (Pj) of the block (Bi) are transmitted, which number is sufficient to reconstruct the block (Bi) and, at the receiving end, the attempted reconstruction of the block (Bi) is performed by investigating the minimum number of packets (Pj).

Abstract: A mobile telephone provided with a camera is made. This telephone is capable of modifying its parameters through a reading of bar codes. The telephone has software for the reading and interpretation of bar codes. This method is designed for the low-cost, mass programming of mobile telephones.
