  • Publication number: 20090034068
Abstract: An illumination station for viewing reflection copy images such as documents, photos, and the like having a back-plate against which a reflection copy image is disposed for viewing, one or more overhead light sources disposed in a top member, and a reflector at the base of the back-plate configured to reflect incident light on the lower portion of the back-plate. The use of a reflector provides enhanced illumination to the lower portion of the back-plate and therefore improves the uniformity of illumination of the entire back-plate, and, consequently, of the reflection copy image affixed thereto.

  • Patent number: 4531317
Abstract: A portable apparatus for simultaneously viewing a transparency and a reflection copy image. The apparatus preferably complies with American National Standard Institute standards "Direct Viewing of Photographic Color Transparencies" and "Viewing Conditions for the Appraisal of Color Quality and Color Uniformity in the Graphic Arts." The apparatus includes a case which opens to have a cover portion positioned approximately horizontally near the top of an approximately vertical body portion. Pivotal side light shield plates can be opened to shield the sides of the apparatus from undesired ambient light, and a pivotal bottom plate can be positioned approximately horizontally for viewing prints. A transparency viewing plate having back lighting means for illuminating a transparency is positioned within the field of light from a source in the cover portion which strikes both the transparency and simultaneously the reflection copy image on the approximately horizontal plate.

  • Patent number: 4298124
Abstract: A slide holding device for the editing and sorting of slides includes a planar rigid transparent backing member and a plurality of spaced apart resilient flexible slide holding strips mounted thereon. The strips are spaced apart by a distance not greater than the length of a slide to be held and have a first portion for holding a slide at the bottom edge thereof in either a partially inserted or a fully inserted position and have a second portion for engaging the top edge of the slide when the slide is either in the fully or partially inserted position to maintain the top edge in a spaced apart relationship from the outer surface of the bakcing member.
