    Abstract: A method of controlling playback by a TV decoder module of a media stream on at least one device connected to the TV decoder. The method is performed by a home gateway connected to the TV decoder and a telephone control module. The telephone control module controls at least one telephone handset, wherein, in the event of the telephone control module receiving a telephone call, the home gateway determines whether there is proximity between the telephone handset and a device connected to the TV decoder, and if there is proximity, sends a first message to the TV decoder, the first message including an instruction to record the media stream being played back.
