Abstract: The measuring device is intended to measure forces on a bicycle pedal (1) mounted to rotate on a pedal spindle (2) fixed at the free end of a crankset crankarm (6). The device includes force sensors positioned on the pedal spindle and able to detect the force directed perpendicularly to the pedal spindle and to supply a signal dependent on the force detected, and electronic elements able to process the signals received from the sensors. Some of the electronic elements are incorporated in an electronic card (23) powered by a stand-alone energy source and to which is fixed a male connecting member (24) able to pass through a fixing hole (5) of the pedal spindle (2) on the crankarm (6) in order to cooperate with a female connecting member provided in the end of the pedal spindle. The electronic card forms with the male connecting member an easily detachable assembly.

Abstract: The device includes a tubular fitting (6) that is part of a bicycle frame and able to accommodate a saddle post (7), elements (19,20) for locking the saddle post (7) in rotation, and members (8) for holding the saddle post (7) in a longitudinal position that is determined relative to the tubular fitting (6). The holding members comprise a stop surface (7a) that is provided on the saddle post (7) and able to work with a stop (8) that is provided on the fitting (6) so as to delimit the insertion length of the saddle post (7) in the latter. The holding members also include at least one annular crosspiece (9, 10) that can be arranged between the stop surface and the stop so as to allow the adjustment of the insertion length.

Abstract: The pedal includes a pedal body (1) rotationally mounted on a pedal shaft. The pedal body (1) includes a fixed front catch element (4) and a movable rear catch element (6) that work with a retaining plate (3) fixed underneath the footwear of the cyclist. The movable rear catch element (6) is mounted to be able to pivot between a retaining position of the plate (3) and a position of release of the plate (3) by the pivoting of the rear catch element (6) in opposition to the action of an elastic return element (10). The elastic return element (10) is composed of an elastic leaf that forms a spring located in a longitudinal housing (11) of the pedal body (10) open to the rear, the leaf (10) being able to be stressed along its longitudinal axis in buckling during pivoting of the rear catch element.

Abstract: A device including a tubular coupling (6) forming part of a bicycle frame and suitable for holding a saddle post (7), locking means (19, 20) for rotationally locking the saddle post (7), and supporting means (8) for supporting the saddle post (7) in a predetermined longitudinal position relative to said tubular coupling (6). The supporting means comprise an abutment surface (7a) provided on said saddle post (7) and engageable with an abutment (8) on said coupling (6) so as to define the insertion length of the saddle post (7) therein. The supporting means further comprise at least one ring-shaped insert (9, 10) positionable between said abutment surface and said abutment to enable said insertion length to be adjusted.

The first and second connection members have bearing surfaces (12 to 17) adapted to coact with a rear pivoting hooking member respectively with a front fixed hooking member provided on the pedal. All the bearing surfaces (12 to 15) of at least the first rear connecting member (10) are formed on an added member (18) of a material having a coefficient of friction reduced relative to that of the material of the body (2).

Abstract: The pedal comprises a pedal body (2) mounted rotatably on a pedal axle (3) and provided with a retainer (7 to 10) of an engagement member fixed below a bicycle shoe, the retainer (7 to 10) comprising a first pair of arches (7, 8) mounted fixedly and a second pair of arches (9, 10) mounted pivoting between the fixed arches (7, 8). A resilient return (12, 13) acts on the pivoting arches (9, 10) to urge them toward a position of retaining the engagement member between a fixed arch (7, 8) and a pivoting arch (9, 10) following relative angular spacing apart of these latter by said engagement member against the action of the resilient return (12, 13). The pivotal axis of each pivoting arch (9, 10) is eccentric to the axis of rotation (A-A) of the pedal axle (3).
