  • Publication number: 20260080203
Abstract: Techniques are described to provide improved connectivity for low frequency (LF) and high frequency (HF) radio-frequency identification (RFID) applications. In particular, a dual frequency RFID device is configured with two interfaces that communicate at different frequencies and which includes a shared memory, at least part of which can be accessed through both of the two interfaces. As such, existing LF RFID readers can communicate with the dual frequency RFID device via one interface, and HF RFID readers can communicate with the RFID device via the other interface. In some implementations, the same data in the shared memory can be accessed through either interface, allowing the same dual frequency RFID device to be accessed irrespective of whether the RFID reader is a LF RFID reader or a HF RFID reader.

  • Publication number: 20260080200
Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for integrating temperature sensors into RFID tags. In some implementations, the RFID tag includes a microchip with an integrated temperature sensor, an antenna(s), and a core. The RFID tag can store temperature data and transmit it when powered by the electromagnetic field of the reader, or by way of an internal power source, according to some implementations. The RFID tag is configured with a novel structured 64-bit code structure that includes synchronization bits, information bits and error detection bits, thereby ensuring communicability of the captured temperature sensor data, among other benefits.

  • Patent number: 10361593
Abstract: The Dual frequency HF-UHF identification device comprises a RFID integrated circuit with a power supply having a HF part, formed by a HF rectifier connected to a HF antenna, and a UHF part formed by a UHF rectifier connected to a UHF antenna. The RFID integrated circuit comprises a storage capacitor common to the HF and UHF parts of the power supply. The HF rectifier output and the UHF rectifier output are both continuously connected to the supply terminal of the common storage capacitor. Further, the supply terminal of the common storage capacitor is connected, on the one hand, to the output of the HF rectifier through a diode arranged so as to block a current from said supply terminal to the HF rectifier output and, on the other hand, directly to the output of the UHF rectifier formed by a charge pump.

  • Publication number: 20040239485
Abstract: The method of managing receiver means of a transponder activates the transponder periodically during listening periods (12A, 12B; 14A, 14B, 14C) to detect a carrier and then to receive a message. If the carrier is an unwanted carrier, and thus no message is received, the sensitivity of the transponder for receiving electromagnetic signals is reduced, in particular by reducing the gain of an input amplifier. In a preferred variant, the sensitivity is increased after a given period of reduced sensitivity or a given period of absence of reception of an unwanted carrier.
