  • Publication number: 20220134850
Abstract: A vehicle sun visor (14) includes a rod assembly (22) and a body (20) configured to rotate about the rod assembly. The vehicle sun visor also includes an electrical connection assembly (18) having a first electrical connector (34) disposed about at least a portion of a periphery of the rod assembly along a circumferential axis of the rod assembly. The electrical connection assembly also includes a second electrical connector (36) coupled to the body and having multiple fingers (44). The fingers are biased toward the first electrical connector (34) to establish contact between the first electrical connector and the second electrical connector, and the fingers (44) are offset from one another along the circumferential axis of the rod assembly, such that at least one finger contacts the first electrical connector throughout a rotational range of motion of the body about the rod assembly.

  • Publication number: 20080164715
Abstract: The invention relates to a fixing device for a vehicle for mounting a component, especially a sun visor. The fixing device comprises a cantilever arm that can be pivoted about a first, especially vertical rotational axis but is fixed in relation to the vehicle body. The component can be tilted in relation to the cantilever arm about a second, especially horizontal rotational axis. In addition to the fact that the component can be tilted about the second rotational axis, the position of the component can be modified in relation to the cantilever arm.

  • Patent number: 7111890
Abstract: A sun visor can be opened from a non-used position to an anti-glare position. The visor can be pivoted from a first anti-glare position in front of the windscreen to a second anti-glare position in front of a lateral window of the vehicle. The visor body is guided by a guide device in such a way that in each anti-glare position the same face of the body faces the vehicle interior. The visor body is guided both by a guide rail that is mounted on the roof liner and by an articulated arm that is rotatably mounted on the sun visor body for pivoting from the first anti-glare position to the second. The visor body can also be hinged for pivoting from the first anti-glare position to the second by a pair of articulated arms forming a four-bar mechanism with substantially vertical axes of rotation relative to the roof liner.
