  • Publication number: 20120216459
Abstract: The invention provides a method for optimal CO2 enrichment for plant production by suspending CO2 tubing in a secured position between both the plant canopy and lighting system within an indoor garden. The method provides for CO2 tubing to be secured to the lighting system of an indoor garden, thus allowing for the CO2 to be evenly dispersed directly over the optimal upper third portion of the plant canopy. By securing the CO2 tubing in the optimal distribution point, the invention also provides a method for users of the CO2 tank “timed release” system of CO2 enrichment to maximize the amount of CO2 over the upper third portion of the plant canopy during the limited time it is released in the indoor garden during the “lights on” portion of the grow cycle. The invention also provides an apparatus for carrying out the method.

  • Patent number: 4851066
Abstract: A bellows assembly is provided in which a retainer member is formed as an aluminum extrusion with two uniformly spaced recesses formed therein. A bellows is provided with two uniformly spaced attachment members which coact with the spaced recesses to provide a uniforma bellows profile for its entire length. Accordion pleat members are provided to attach the ends of the bellows to the ends of the retainer member.

  • Patent number: 4811575
Abstract: A bellows assembly is secured to a retainer by extrusions having a mushroom or arrow shaped cross section. Air flowing through the terminal impinges upon an impervious film covering the central portion of the device and is diverted into two flow paths. Initially the flow paths extend between the film and the cutoff plates which coact to form a tight shut off. Downstream of the cutoff plates, the flow paths are between a porous foam covering the bellows and foam surrounding the cutoff plates to provide a sound reducing effect. If necessary or desirable, the back of the retainer may be covered with foam or other suitable sound insulating material.
