  • Patent number: 7059338
Abstract: A valve control system comprises a programmable electronic controller. The programmable electronic controller is configured to provide an emergency actuation signal to a motor upon receiving an emergency close signal. The programmable electronic controller is configured to provide a test actuation signal to the motor upon receiving a test close signal. The valve control system further comprises a gas detection input configured to receive a gas detection signal. Receipt of the gas detection signal at least partially meeting a first criterion causes the emergency close signal to be supplied to the controller. The valve control system further comprises a user interface configured to provide the controller with the test close signal in response to a user input. The valve control system further comprises a low battery input configured to receive a low battery signal. Receipt of the low battery signal causes the emergency close signal to be supplied to the controller.

  • Patent number: 5845225
Abstract: An electronically controlled carbon-cleaning apparatus for removal of carbon deposits in internal combustion engines. A microcomputer and associated electronics controls the solenoid valve and pump motor. The microcomputer performs all user interface functions. Firmware provides self test, automatic voltage verification and a variety of safety features. The apparatus includes a fill feature whereby a solution tank is filled automatically. The apparatus is designed to gradually provide power to the pump so that leaks or faulty connections can be detected before the pump reaches full pressure. The apparatus circulates a fuel-cleaner solution through the fuel injection system of the engine while it is operated, thereby saving the time and cost associated with the removal and hand cleaning of injectors. Fuel-cleaner solution level and run time are continuously monitored by the microcomputer and displayed on a LED display.

  • Patent number: 5381810
Abstract: An electronically controlled carbon-cleaning apparatus for removal of carbon deposits in internal combustion engines. A microcomputer and associated electronics perform all control, and user interface functions. Firmware provides self test, automatic voltage adjustment to direct current systems used on internal combustion engines. The apparatus includes a fill feature whereby a solution tank is filled automatically. The apparatus circulates a fuel-cleaner solution through the fuel injection system of the engine while it is operated, thereby saving the time and cost associated with the removal and hand cleaning of injectors. Fuel-cleaner solution level and run time are continuously monitored by the microcomputer and displayed on a LCD display. Solution pressure is continuously monitored and necessary adjustments automatically made while circulating fuel-cleaner solution. An engine cut-off solenoid driver is provided to shut down the engine in the event of a empty solution tank.
