    Abstract: A static dissipative surface covering material which comprises a thermoplastic polymer layer and an electrically conductive, metallized, such as vacuum aluminum-coated, glass fiber tissue material disposed in or to the thermoplastic layer to provide a static dissipative surface covering material. A method of preparing a static dissipative surface covering material, which method comprises embedding within or securing to a thermoplastic polymer layer a layer of electrically-conductive, metallized, coated, open fibrous material, such as an aluminized glass fiber tissue, to provide a static dissipative surface covering material.
