  • Patent number: 8899777
Abstract: Methods and devices are described that use one or more thermally responsive current-controlling elements to regulate current flow to an electrical component, particularly a light source such as an LED. Examples of such thermally responsive current-controlling elements include thermistors, inductors, and capacitors. for treating conditions or disorders which can be alleviated by reducing food intake are disclosed which comprise administration of an effective amount of a purine analog, alone or in conjunction with other compounds or compositions that affect satiety. The methods are useful for treating conditions or disorders wherein appetite reduction would be beneficial, including obesity and binge-eating disorder. Pharmaceutical compositions for use in the methods of the invention are also disclosed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 19, 2007
Date of Patent: December 2, 2014
    Assignee: Underwater Kinetics, LLP
Inventors: Alan K. Uke, Elmer Frederick Fischer, David M. Giuntoli, Richard H. Gunderson

  • Publication number: 20050040353
Abstract: There is disclosed an apparatus and process having positioning surface for a reusable storage film having information projected image-wise therein wherein the image-wise containing storage film is advanced by a transportation assembly through an information retrieval or interrogation assembly and thence introduced into a restoration collection chamber including a source of light at an energy level sufficient to remove residual image information thereby restoring the storage film to a condition of reuse.

  • Patent number: 4056812
Abstract: A field-access, magnetic bubble memory organized in a major-minor configuration includes an extra set of minor loops dedicated to fault correction. The loops of the extra set are coupled to a major path in a manner to move the information in the loops of the set controllably out of synchronism with respect to the information in the remaining loops. Thus, information in the loops of the extra set can be inserted into the data stream originating from the remaining loops at positions of missing data from faulty ones of those loops.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 6, 1976
Date of Patent: November 1, 1977
    Assignee: Bell Telephone Laboratories, Incorporated
Inventors: Andrew Henry Bobeck, Robert Frederick Fischer
  • Patent number: 4021791
Abstract: A fast access, major-minor, magnetic bubble memory is provided by defining a separate set of address minor loops in addition to the minor loops of a main storage area in which data is stored. A search operation is restricted to the address loops, selected data being read out of the main storage area only after the selected address is acquired.
