  • Patent number: 11710759
Abstract: One or more systems and/or methods are disclosed for building a relief print generator with no bezel. An electrode layer having more than one electrode can be used in an electrode-based, electro-luminescence component of the relief print generator. The respective electrodes may be connected to power sources with different voltage phases. An electrical circuit can be created between a biometric object and more than one electrode in the electrode layer when the biometric object contacts a surface of the generator. The electro-luminescent component can be activated by electrical charge and emit light indicative of a relief print of the biometric object. A contact electrode outside the electrode layer may not be used, which may allow for the removal of a bezel from an example device.

  • Publication number: 20180025200
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a luminescent film that can be used with a biometric imager, which can be used to scan biometric markers, and/or to interact with the device. Upon contacting a device surface, an image of at least a portion of the touch object can be captured and used in conjunction with identification of the user and/or for input to the device. The systems or techniques, described herein, may be integrated into a portion of a device, and may comprise a luminescent layer, comprising quantum dots, that can emit photons upon contact, and an image capture component that can generate data indicative of an image of at least a portion of the touch object.

  • Patent number: 9501631
Abstract: One or more techniques and/or systems are disclosed for a biometric imager that can be integrated into a touch enabled computing device, and may be used to interact with the device. Upon touching the touch-enabled surface of the device, an image of at least a portion of the touch object can be captured and used in conjunction with identification of the user and/or for input to the device. The systems or techniques, described herein, may be integrated into a portion of the surface of such a device, and may comprise a luminescent layer that can emit photons upon touch, and an image capture component that can generate data indicative of an image of at least a portion of the touch object.

  • Patent number: 7293168
Abstract: The unique identifier (UID) boot system provides a system and method for booting a network connected processing system. Briefly described, one embodiment is a method comprising receiving a UID, the UID uniquely identifying the network connected processing system; determining a directory structure from a first portion of the UID, the directory structure identifying a memory location in a network accessible memory wherein a UID script file resides, the UID script file comprising additional script that causes the network connected processing system to retrieve at least one resource information file; and determining a file name from a second portion of the UID, the file name identifying the UID script file.
