  • Patent number: 8512036
Abstract: An oven for baking a batch of parts has a housing having side walls and a top wall defining a closed container with a closed top end and an open downwardly facing bottom end. Loading/unloading occurs at the bottom end onto a carriage raised to the top end where baking occurs. On each side is provided an array of heating elements below the top. A shield is located in front of the heating array so as to block direct radiation onto the parts to prevent over-heating as the carrying arrangement passes the heating array to be unloaded. The shield generates an upwardly flowing air stream to carry the heat to the top. The heating elements are mounted with their lower end in a connection box with a collar and insulated heat shield above the box to keep the electrical connections cooled.

  • Patent number: 6830270
Abstract: A window latch for use with a window frame comprises a main body having a top portion and a bottom portion. A locking member extending through the main body pivotally mounting therein having a lock arm extending out the bottom portion and a manually operable handle exposed at the top portion. A shoulder separating the top and bottom portion so that the bottom portion projects downwardly from the shoulder. A flange portion at one end of the bottom portion projecting along the main body generally parallel to the shoulder and spaced from the shoulder leaving a recess therebetween. Wherein the bottom portion is arranged to be inserted into a hole cut into a top wall of a window frame such that shoulder sits on a top surface of the top wall and the flange engages underneath a lip of the top wall with the lip being received in the recess thus supporting the respective end of the main body to the frame and a fastener for holding an opposed end of the main body within the hole in the frame.

  • Patent number: 6194688
Abstract: An apparatus for baking powder coated parts comprises a housing having a top end and a bottom end, a heating element in the housing at the top end, defining an oven, a carrying arrangement in the housing for carrying the parts and a control station for controlling the heating element and the carrying arrangement such that the carrying arrangement carries the parts from the bottom end where the parts are attached to the carrying arrangement to the top end where the parts are heated by the heating element and to lower the carrying arrangement from the top end to the bottom end after the parts have been heated and a second batch of parts can be attached to the carrying arrangement. The control station has a first locator at the top end for indicating when the carrying arrangement is at the top and a second locator at the bottom end for indicating when the carrying arrangement is at the bottom end.

  • Patent number: 5620213
Abstract: A lock for a window includes a lock body mountable on the window frame having a base plate and a raised portion standing upwardly from the base plate. The raised portion is a hollow interior within which a lock handle projects and on which is mounted the lock handle for pivotal action about a pin transverse to the raised portion. The raised portion defines a substantially rectangular flat upper surface parallel to the base plate. The handle portion includes a flat plate acting as a cover for the rectangular upper surface together with a manually graspable arch shaped element projecting beyond the end of the plate portion. Within a recess underneath the arch shaped portion is provided a trigger latch engageable with a web across the hollow interior of the raised portion for latching the handle in a lowered lock position.

  • Patent number: 5168770
Abstract: A pivotal handle for an actuator of a window includes a triangular shaped cap member with a recess along one side of the triangle shape into which the splined shaft end of the actuator is inserted and clamped. A handle member is pivotal relative to the cap member about a transverse pin positioned directly at the end of the recess. The position of the handle relative to the cap member is controlled by a spring ball mounted within the cap member which cooperates with a straight sided slot on the inner face of the handle member.
