  • Patent number: 5266787
Abstract: A dual motor speed control circuit for providing independent speed control of two motors in a laser scanning device is disclosed herein. This apparatus utilizes a single input signal having variable frequency and duty cycle components. The speed of the first motor is controlled by utilizing the frequency component of said input signal while the speed of the second motor is controlled by utilizing the frequency and duty cycle components of said input signal. Specifically, a DC signal is generated that is dependent upon the duty cycle component of said input signal and said DC signal is utilized to offset the speed of the second motor from the speed value as determined by the frequency component of said input signal.

  • Patent number: 4299346
Abstract: A luggage rack assembly for automobile deck lids and the like having a pair of identical rear corner supports with a tubular rear rail extending between and received over opposed first tongues of the rear supports. Each rear corner support further has a pair of second tongues projecting respectively forwardly and rearwardly on a line beneath the first tongues. A tubular front rail extends between and is received over opposed third tongues one protruding from each of a pair of identical front corner supports, each of which also has a pair of fourth tongues projecting forwardly and rearwardly on a line coplanar with said third tongues. Tubular side rails extend between and are received over opposed ones of said second and fourth tongues in a plane with said front rail beneath said rear rail. The front and rear corner supports are fixedly mounted to the deck lid by four identical base members each receiving a one of the corner supports by snap fit.

  • Patent number: 4170381
Abstract: A wind deflector construction including a wind deflector, a base bracket and a wind deflector bracket. The base bracket and wind deflector bracket are provided with a plurality of openings that can be selectively aligned to adjust the wind deflector in a plurality of positions to accommodate the contours of the automotive vehicle. According to the method of adjustment, after the base bracket is mounted on the vehicle, a template is mounted on the deflector and a portion of the template extends along the window of the automotive vehicle. This latter portion is arranged so that it is parallel to the window and then the final adjustment is completed by fastening the base bracket and wind deflector bracket in the adjusted positions relative to one another.

  • Patent number: 4170323
Abstract: A car top carrier comprises spaced pairs of stanchions and a side rail between the stanchions. Each stanchion has a laterally extending opening therein and an insert projecting into said opening. A screw locks the insert in angularly adjustable position with respect to the stanchion. A cross rail and the inserts have telescoping portions forming a connection therebetween. The cross rail has the major portion thereof of non-circular cross section so that the angular position of said cross section with respect to said stanchions can be adjusted by adjusting the angular position of each insert with respect to each pair of stanchions.
