Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media are disclosed for dynamic character enhancement for rendering digital content. Example methods may include identifying a reading speed indicative of a rate at which a user desires to read, determining a number of words in a portion of content to present to the user, and determining a base time interval for at least one word of the portion of content based at least in part on the reading speed. Methods may include determining an average difficulty value of the portion of content, determining that a first difficulty value of a first word exceeds the average difficulty value, and determining a first time adjustment for the first word based at least in part on the first difficulty value. Methods may include determining a first time interval based at least in part on the base time interval and the first time adjustment.

Abstract: Provided are systems and methods for determining a first subject of a first content item corresponding to a first storyline, determining a second subject of a second content item corresponding to a second storyline, determining first data associated with the first subject, determining second data associated with the second subject, comparing at least a portion of the first data to at least a portion of the second data, determining that the first subject is related to the second subject, and associating the first content item with the second content item.

Abstract: A device is configured to display electronic sheet music. The device may display electronic sheet music that can be magnified and displayed in sequence by reflowing electronic musical symbols between pages. In addition, the device may adaptively determine a layout based on user preferences, such as a desired magnification, an orientation of a device or the like, and may display a current location in the electronic sheet music based on user input, a remote trigger, a desired playback speed or by monitoring an audio input from a microphone and determining a current location in the electronic sheet music. For example, the device may detect a series of pitches and display the electronic sheet music based on a most recent pitch in the series of pitches.

Abstract: A device is configured to display images of sheet music or electronic sheet music. The device may generate and display an index including markers, locations of markers and series of notes associated with the markers. The device may link directly to a particular image of the sheet music or a particular location in the electronic sheet music using the index. The device may identify musical symbols displayed in the sheet music and generate electronic musical symbols associated with the musical symbols. The device may modify the electronic musical symbols and display the modified electronic musical symbols superimposed over the images of sheet music. The device may generate and output audio using the electronic musical symbols. The device may detect a series of pitches and display the sheet music or electronic sheet music based on a most recent pitch in the series of pitches.
