  • Patent number: 4182270
Abstract: An abalone habitat comprising a container and a plurality of non-circumscribing panels in the container to which the abalone can attach. The container is porous to allow sea water to enter the container, and the container has an opening to permit insertion and removal of the panels. There is sufficient room in the container above the upper edges of the panels to define a space for food for the abalone. At least regions of adjacent panels are spaced from each other. The panels and the container are resistant to sea water corrosion.
