  • Patent number: 5352112
Abstract: A rotary press having a dispensing device for dispensing granular material on to a rotary table. The dispensing device has a frame located on the table and into which granular material is discharged from a discharge port connected to a vessel containing the granular material. The vessel and thereby the discharge port is arranged to be raised or lowered by a drive unit so as to vary the feed of the granular material from the discharge port into the frame. Guide fingers projecting internally from the frame guide the granular material into a die cavity as the table rotates.

  • Patent number: 5178824
Abstract: Particulates from a source fall into a tundish which discharges to a collection chamber. The build-up of particulates in the chamber is sensed, and a valve opened at the bottom of the chamber when a pre-determined level of the particulates is sensed in the chamber. A valve at the top of the chamber may be closed at the same time so that pressurized air can be injected into the chamber to expel the particulates through the bottom of the chamber through the valve. A filter circuit may be connected to the tundish to assist in removing particulates from the tundish.
