  • Patent number: 8407942
Abstract: A door jamb reinforcing device includes a first face member configured to engage with a face of a stop rail of the door jamb and a second face member interconnected with the first face member and configured to engage with a face of a latch-engagement portion of the door jamb. A first side member may be attached orthogonally to the first face member. A second side member may be attached orthogonally to the second face member. The first and second side members may be spaced apart from one another by a distance that corresponds to a width of the jamb.

  • Publication number: 20070270580
Abstract: Provided are methods of identifying oligonucleotides having transcriptional or translational activity by integrating ilie oligonucleotide into a eukaryotic cell genome such that the oligonucleotide is operatively linked to an expressible polynucleotide, and detecting a change in expression of the expressible polynucleotide due to the operatively linked oligonucleotide. Also provided are vectors useful for identifying an oligonucleotide having transcriptional or translational regulatory activity according to a method of the invention. In addition, isolated synthetic transcriptional or translational regulatory elements identified according to a method of the invention are provided, as are kits, which contain a vector useful for identifying a transcriptional or translational regulatory element, or an isolated synthetic transcriptional or translational regulatory element or plurality of such elements. Also provided are isolated transcriptional regulatory elements.

  • Publication number: 20070227405
Abstract: The invention provides a set gypsum-containing product having increased resistance to permanent deformation and a method for preparing it comprising forming a mixture of a calcium sulfate material, water, and an appropriate amount of one or more enhancing materials chosen from condensed phosphoric acids, each of which comprises 2 or more phosphoric acid units; and salts or ions of condensed phosphates, each of which comprises 2 or more phosphate units. The mixture is then maintained under conditions sufficient for the calcium sulfate material to form a set gypsum material.

  • Publication number: 20060278132
Abstract: The invention generally provides gypsum-containing slurries including stucco, trimetaphosphate salt, and naphthalenesulfonate dispersant, wherein the trimetaphosphate salt is present in an amount of at least about 0.12% by weight based on the weight of stucco. Other slurry additives can include accelerators, binders, starch, and paper fiber, glass fiber, and other known ingredients. The invention also comprises the gypsum-containing products made with such slurries, for example, gypsum wallboard, and a method of making gypsum wallboard.
