  • Patent number: 11977399
Abstract: A fluid monitoring system is provided, which includes a control unit and at least one fluid pressure recorder. The recorder is configured for direct connection to a pipeline portion of a system to be monitored and includes upstream and downstream pressure sensors. The control unit is configured to detect, and provide for display or trigger an action, in the event that a new downstream pressure is more than a threshold number of standard deviations above or below a mean downstream pressure determined from prior readings of the downstream pressure—even though neither the minimum nor maximum pressure of the pipeline portion is reached. A fluid monitoring system for a regulator on a pipeline system is also provided.

  • Patent number: 11965769
Abstract: A method, meter and device capable of determining the accuracy, proof, or percent of error of a meter in service. The method is configured to establish one or more baseline flow measurements for the meter, the meter configured to measure a flow through the meter; obtain a current flow measurement for the meter; and determine a proving result in accordance with a comparing of the current flow measurement to the one or more baseline flow measurements.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 11879866
Abstract: In accordance with embodiments there is proposed an ultrasound sensor device and an ultrasound sensor system configured to perform a method using ultrasound to determine a ratio or concentration of respective gases in a flow of mixed gases. There is provided a method to adapt a distribution system with an ultrasound sensor device and/or an ultrasound sensor system.

  • Patent number: 11841262
Abstract: By implementing a monitoring system to a fluid meter set, the meter set can be monitored for abnormalities including fluid leaks or other system failures as well as gas blend or gas density. A monitoring system that uses sensors such as vibration sensors can detect fluid leaks or other system failures based on abnormal conditions such as vibrations of the meter set. Sensors may be positioned at various locations along the meter set where leakage of fluids or other system failures may be possible. Sensory information detected by sensors are communicated to processing or control unit which can trigger an alarm signaling unit alerting of a potential fluid leak. Such a system of monitoring the integrity of a fluid meter set can help to quickly identify and respond to a fluid leak without necessarily relying on visual or olfactory cues associated with the fluid being leaked.

  • Patent number: 11725970
Abstract: A fluid monitoring system is provided, which includes at least one fluid vibration sensing unit to provide at least one fluid vibration signal from at least one location on a measuring chamber of a meter to be monitored. The system also includes one or more display units, and a control unit configured to be coupled to the at least one fluid vibration sensing unit and the one or more display units. The control unit is configured to detect a condition from the respective location using the at least one fluid vibration sensing unit and communicate to at least one or more display units to provide a display of the condition. A meter with a fluid monitoring system is also provided.
