  • Patent number: 8239984
Abstract: A variable motion infant seat includes: a vertical reciprocating assembly comprising a first motor for providing vertical motion; a horizontal reciprocating assembly coupled to the vertical reciprocating assembly and comprising a second motor for providing horizontal motion; and a support device coupled to at least one of the vertical reciprocating assembly and the horizontal reciprocating assembly. The first motor and second motor are run at a substantially constant speed, thereby causing the vertical reciprocating assembly and horizontal reciprocating assembly to move the support device in at least one motion profile.

  • Publication number: 20120086187
Abstract: A user interface for a power folding stroller includes: a rotational mechanical joint positioned on the handlebars of the stroller. The rotational mechanical joint is coupled to electrical sensors that must be activated by the user rotating a ring combined with a second step of pressing a button to activate the folding or unfolding process. Once the ring has been rotated the required distance and returned to a home position, an indication, such as an LED light, may be provided to the user that the second action of pushing the button can be undertaken.

  • Publication number: 20120011705
Abstract: A lancing device integrated with a sensing strip and method of making and using the same are provided. A lance and analyte sensing strip are combined in a single, preferably disposable, device. In a preferred embodiment, a slot is provided in a support member so the lance can be engaged by a lance driver and driven into the skin producing a bodily fluid sample from a wound. The sensing area of the sensing strip is adjacent to the wound location reducing dexterity requirements for patients.

  • Publication number: 20060163284
Abstract: A personal hydration system is configured to deliver fluid to a user. The system includes a container having a substantially fixed shape and configured to receive a quantity of a fluid. An opening is provided near a first end of the container for filling the container with the fluid. A withdrawal port is provided near a second end of the container to receive a fluid delivery tube for withdrawing fluid from the container. A channel extends at least partially along a surface of the container to retain the fluid delivery tube. A fluid lockout device has a base member coupled to either the fluid delivery tube or the withdrawal port, and a flow control member interfaces with the base member for movement between one position to permit flow and another position to prevent flow.
