    Abstract: This invention relates to a method and apparatus for measuring the time interval between two or more sequential signals. One particular application is measuring the time interval between pulses in non-destructive ultrasonic testing. A time-variable gate is used to effectually span the time interval between signals, the interval of the gate corresponding to the time interval between signals.
