    Abstract: A filter module has a housing providing a receptacle for a standard filter element, and also has a lateral extension for accommodating securing means to hold the filter element in place. The lateral extension defines a grille opening for removeably receiving an outlet grille in flush relationship, the grille opening extending laterally beyond the receptacle. A seal gasket closes the space between the grille and the filter element, embracing the securing means.
