  • Patent number: 4454927
Abstract: A miniaturized cone driven reentrant loudspeaker is provided. A cone spea is positioned within a housing. The housing includes a front wall for radiating sound and a side wall. The cone speaker is directed towards a reflector back plate having a generally spherical surface which protrudes into the cone speaker for directing sound waves towards sidewalls of the housing to define a miniaturized cone driven reentrant loudspeaker.

  • Patent number: 4325529
Abstract: A U-shaped bracket element pivotably attached to an object to be mounted is retained on a fixed base. Prior to clamping the bracket against the base, the U-shaped bracket element is rotated relative to the base about an axis perpendicular to the pivoting axis of the object to be mounted. Vertical and lateral adjustments are made while the fixed base supports the weight of the object.

  • Patent number: 4116302
Abstract: A horn loudspeaker construction wherein an integrated sound chamber and horn assembly is provided by two uniquely configured members that form a highly efficient horn loudspeaker capable of being utilized within a four-inch type electrical box. The horn loudspeaker includes a sound chamber for receiving a magnetic loudspeaker driving assembly and diaphragm. The sound chamber also includes a sound opening having a predetermined acoustic orientation. A first horn stage has a first opening acoustically coupled to the sound opening and is characterized by a flare rate that expands as the first horn stage extends away from the sound opening. The first stage includes an acoustical orientation at the output end that is at least 90.degree. disposed from the acoustical orientation of the sound opening.

  • Patent number: 3997724
Abstract: A loudspeaker drive mechanism monitoring assembly includes a detection coil for detecting the operative state of a loudspeaker drive mechanism. The loudspeaker drive mechanism includes a permanent magnet assembly defining an air gap having a flux field therein and a voice coil adapted to receive a drive signal, the voice coil being disposed in the flux field to affect a change thereof in response to a drive signal applied thereto. The detection coil is wrapped around a portion of the permanent magnet or magnetic assembly and has a detection signal induced therein in response to the application of a drive signal to the voice coil.
