  • Patent number: 11947474
Abstract: A memory module comprises an address buffer circuit, a command/address channel, and a plurality of memory components controlled by the address buffer circuit via the command/address channel. At least one memory component comprises a plurality of data ports, a memory core to store data, and a data interface. The data interface is capable of transferring data between the memory core and the data ports. The data interface supports a first data width mode in which the data interface transfers data at a first bit width and a first burst length via the data ports. The data interface also supports a second data width mode in which the data interface transfers data at a second bit width and second burst length via the data ports. The first bit width is greater than the second bit width and the first burst length is shorter than the second burst length.

  • Publication number: 20230408585
Abstract: Examples are described herein for monitoring power source usage of a computing device, including a battery and another power source, over time. In various examples, time periods of this monitored time may be added to a time count based on their immediately previous or immediately subsequent time periods satisfying a condition. The time count may be used to track periods of time during which certain power source usage factors are present that may lead to or may indicate the presence of battery swelling. After a time period is added to the time count, the updated time count can be compared to a time count threshold, and a user of the computing device may be warned based on the comparison. The threshold and warning may be selected to warn a user of potential present or future swelling of the battery.

  • Patent number: 11839453
Abstract: Soft capacitive pressure sensors for continuous wearable health monitoring applications are described herein. Wrinkled gold thin films on elastomeric substrates are used as robust parallel plate electrodes to create a robust integration with the polymer, allowing repeated normal force to deform the thin film without failure. By incorporating micro-ridged structures that support the counter electrodes to create air cavities within the elastomeric dielectric layer, pressure sensitivity is further increased. The pressure sensors are configured to measure human physiological signals such as pressure exerted from a radial pulse on a skin's surface. The radial pulse pressure detected by the sensor can be correlated to an arterial blood pressure. Calibration of said pressure sensors using a neural network allows for determination of absolute blood pressure.

  • Patent number: 11733926
Abstract: Systems and methods provide improved bus efficiency in read operations by a solid-state device (SSD) installed in an Information Handling System. A read operation is received that requests data stored in a die of the SSD. A command is issued to the die for use of a first read voltage in retrieving the requested data. Upon receiving confirmation that the die has retrieved the requested data, a command is issued to the die to configure a second read voltage for use in retrieving data requested by a second read operation received by the SSD. Concurrent with the die setting the second read voltage for use in retrieving the data requested in the second read operation, a command is issued to initiating transfer, by the die, of the data retrieved for the first read operation. In this manner, idle intervals in the bus used to service the die are eliminated.

  • Patent number: 11679205
Abstract: A digital syringe is used with conventional polymer disposable syringe construction to be practical in the medical environment. Errors associated with the larger volumes of the syringes (which exacerbate minor errors in plunger position) and the flexibility and dimensional variations of the polymer plungers are accommodated by direct measurement of the syringe plunger position rather than indirect measurement of motor position and inference of syringe plunger position. This direct measurement eliminates mechanical tolerances (“stack up”) in the motor, gear train, and lead screw on plunger movement, an effect exacerbated by flexibility of the plunger and changes in syringe resistance and medicament viscosity, for example, with different medicaments or when the syringe is refrigerated. The digital syringe may be combined with the motor unit to provide additional versatility.

  • Patent number: 11620128
Abstract: Techniques are described for automatically identifying monolithic software applications in users' computing environments for software modernization purposes. A monolithic patent application typically refers to a single-tiered application with self-contained functionality designed largely without modularity, although many types of applications can have monolithic characteristics. In many cases, modularity in a software application's design is desirable and thus developers may often seek to decompose monolithic applications into more modular “microservices” or other subunits when possible. A software modernization system includes a software analysis service that obtains, for one or more software applications undergoing evaluation, a collection of application artifacts, application profiling metrics, and other application profile data.
