  • Patent number: 11928512
Abstract: A reconfigurable data processor comprises an array of configurable units configurable to allocate a plurality of sets of configurable units in the array to implement respective execution fragments of the data processing operation. Quiesce logic is coupled to configurable units in the array, configurable to respond to a quiesce control signal to quiesce the sets of configurable units in the array on quiesce boundaries of the respective execution fragments, and to forward quiesce ready signals for the respective execution fragments when the corresponding sets of processing units are ready. An array quiesce controller distributes the quiesce control signal to configurable units in the array, and receives quiesce ready signals for the respective execution fragments from the quiesce logic.

  • Patent number: 9893512
Abstract: Damages to the rectifying MOSFET in the secondary side of voltage converters are reduced or eliminated by inserting intermediary steps between detecting a dropping in the converter output voltage VCC and activating the under voltage lock out (UVLO) circuitry. During the intermediary steps, the timing for switching off the MOSFET is advanced to prevent the current flow in the MOSFET from reversing its direction.

  • Publication number: 20150188428
Abstract: A novel switching power converter comprises a state machine. The state machine continuously seeks an optimal switching timing of a switch in the converter for maximum system efficiency. The state machine moves the triggering edge of a switching signal that triggers a second switch in a controlled step and direction with respect to a prior signal, and measures the on-time during which power goes into the converter. The measured on-time is then compared to a reference to determine the correctness of the movement. The movement of the triggering edge continues to maintain maximum conversion efficiency.

  • Patent number: 7677759
Abstract: A combination flashlight and lantern includes a body having a first axis, an internally reflective flashlight cup surrounding the first axis and a lens covering the cup. An externally reflective cone surrounds the first axis and has an apex through which the first axis passes. A drum is located between the cup and cone and pivots about a second axis that is normal to the first axis. An LED is mounted to the drum and directed radially from the second axis such that in a first orientation of the drum, the LED directed toward the apex of the cone and in a second orientation of the drum, the LED is directed at the lens. In a third orientation of the drum, the LED is directed perpendicularly to the first axis toward the shroud.

  • Publication number: 20050181357
Abstract: The present invention relates to a high-throughput diagnostic assay for the virus causing Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) in humans (“hSARS virus”). In particular, the invention relates to a high-throughput reverse transcription-PCR diagnostic test for SARS associated coronavirus (SARS-CoV). The present assay is a rapid, reliable assay which can be used for diagnosis and monitoring the spread of SARS and is based on the nucleotide sequences of the N (nucleocapsid)-gene of the hSARS virus. The present method eliminates false negative results and provides increased sensitivity for the assay. The invention also discloses the S (spike)-gene of the hSARS virus. The invention further relates to the deduced amino acid sequences of the N-gene and S-gene products of the hSARS virus and to the use of the N-gene and S-gene products in diagnostic methods. The invention further encompasses diagnostic assays and kits comprising antibodies generated against the N-gene or S-gene product.
