  • Patent number: 12209170
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods of preparing composites from solid elastomer(s) and wet filler(s), as well as products, including composites, vulcanizates, and articles therefrom. The wet filler can have a liquid content of at least 15%. A resulting composite comprises the filler dispersed in the elastomer at a loading of at least 20 phr with a filler yield loss of no more than 10%, wherein the composite has a liquid content of no more than 10% by weight based on total weight of said composite.

  • Patent number: 11913861
Abstract: Methods and devices for pretreatment of a conducting sampling substrate which enable an electrostatic charge to be used to transfer analyte molecules onto a sampling substrate, where the analyte molecules are in powder or particulate form. In an embodiment of the present invention, the electrostatic charge can be used to transfer powder samples containing nitrogenous bases, nucleosides, food additives, and prescription drugs such as acetaminophen, oxycodone, and dextromethorphan. In an embodiment of the present invention, a powder sample is transferred to a pre-treated sampling substrate using an electrostatic charge. The spatial distribution of the powder on the original surface is retained on the pre-treated sampling substrate using the electrostatic charge transfer. The electrostatic charge transfer can be used to transfer powder samples present on a surface or in the chambers of 96, 384 and 1536 well plate formats to either pins or mesh and analyzed with ambient desorption ionization.

  • Patent number: 9164646
Abstract: A method and apparatus provides for the accommodation of display migration among a plurality of physical displays. In one example, the method and apparatus detects a display migration condition from at least a second physical display to a first physical display. The method and apparatus then controls compositing of a plurality of desktop surfaces so as enable access of each one of the plurality of desktop surfaces on the first physical display. The plurality of desktop surfaces include at least a desktop surface associated with the second physical display. The desktop surface is the content in a piece of memory in a frame buffer, which represents all the display content presented on the associated physical display. In one example, the plurality of desktop surfaces may be composited into at least one three-dimensional display object. The three-dimensional display object includes but is not limited to a revolving door object or other three-dimensional shape or object (e.g., a cube object).

  • Patent number: 8380577
Abstract: An e-commerce system where progressive incentives are displayed to entice shoppers to purchase goods is disclosed. The e-commerce system includes a database with a region of memory having data related to a first inventory of physical goods and a second inventory of digital goods. The e-commerce system also includes a website configured to facilitate an event, where the website is coupled to the database for accessing the first inventory in response to the event. The event may be a purchase of one or more physical goods. The e-commerce system further includes a webpage configured to display at least a portion of the first inventory that is available for sale, and to display one or more digital goods, where the webpage presents a locked digital good before the event occurs, and in response to one or more events occurring, the webpage presents an unlocked digital good.
