  • Patent number: 7738235
Abstract: In one aspect, a compact, lightweight, high-intensity and long-life LED lighting apparatus is provided. The LED lighting apparatus includes: a lens array including a plurality of lenses; a first circuit board including at least one LED (e.g., a plurality of surface-mount type LEDs); and a second circuit board electrically connected with the first circuit board to control illumination of the plurality of LEDs, wherein the second circuit board is configured substantially perpendicular to the first circuit board. In another aspect, a heat dissipation assembly is provided for a lighting apparatus that includes a first circuit board with at least one LED, and a second circuit board configured substantially perpendicular to the first circuit board.

  • Patent number: 7566154
Abstract: A lighting fixture for providing illumination comprising a housing, a printed circuit board, and a plurality LEDs connected to the printed circuit board. Optionally an emergency LED may also be included. A heat sink is connected to the housing and printed circuit board. Each of the plurality of the LEDs is mounted on the heat sink. A reflector is disposed inside the housing such that the light from the LEDs is mixed together and projected out of the illumination end of the housing by the surface of the reflector. The lighting fixture is received into a mounting flange assembly. A method for providing illumination using the above.

  • Publication number: 20060187081
Abstract: A lighting system and method and apparatus for adjusting same are described. The lighting system has LED lighting units. To adjust a lighting unit, a programmer is connected to the lighting unit, lighting information (such as color or brightness) is input into the programmer (either manually or electronically), and data representing the lighting information is transmitted from the programming device to the lighting unit. The data is stored in the lighting unit, and one or more of the LEDs emits light that corresponds to the transmitted data.

  • Patent number: 4246545
Abstract: A phase-locked loop oscillator system includes a phase comparator in the form of a flip flop which is switched between states in response to received data pulses at one input and oscillator generated clocking pulses at another input. The positive and negative outputs of the flip-flop energize positive and negative constant current generators whose outputs feed in parallel a low pass filter or integrator including a capacitor which is initially discharged at the start of data reception by a field effect transistor connected in parallel with the capacitor. The output of the filter is a voltage whose amplitude is a measure of the phase difference between the sets of pulses. This voltage controls the amplitude of charging current fed to a sawtooth waveform generator to control the frequency thereof. The output of the generator is processed to form the clocking pulses for the system.
