Abstract: The present invention is a folding pole hedge trimmer, which is capable of operating at unusual heights, twenty (20) feet or more from the ground. It includes an elbow joint in which the upper hollow pole and the lower hollow pole can be folded for easy storage. The present invention utilizes a very light-weight reciprocating cutting head used for hedge trimming, shaping of tree crowns, cypresses, bougainvilleas and other tall growing plants. The present invention relates to a spring biased mechanical cable drive. The present invention is designed to reduce the weight, complexity and cost of the spring biased mechanical cable drive.

Abstract: A fuel system for crankcase scavenged two cycle spark ignition engines which includes a specialized valve assembly connecting a source of propane gas and a source of oil to the engine. An automatic main valve connects the source of gas to the engine port and also senses pulses from the engine crankcase. A control valve interconnected to a venturi controls the air and oil supply to the engine.

Abstract: A portable apparatus for pruning tree limbs or trimming hedges, including a cutting head having a hedge trimmer disc or carrier means for a chain bar having a chain saw provided with means for angular adjustment of said chain bar to an infinite plurality of rotary positions relative to said cutting head, said cutting head mounted at the top of a telescoping boom means containing a transmission means of adjustable length which provides intermittent rotary motion to the chain saw or hedge trimmer disc transmitted from a pulling force produced by manual operation or produced by a power source.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel design for a perforated hose sprinkler which enables the hose to automatically rewind itself after use and after being released from a secured position in the ground. The mechanism includes a frame member with a reel contained within the frame and rotatably supported thereon on a fixed shaft. The reel further comprises a central core section. A spring is fixedly secured at one end to the fixed shaft and fixedly secured at its other end to the core of the reel, and is wound between the fixed shaft and the core. A sprinkler hose which is generally rectangular in cross-section and contains a multiplicity of pin holes along its length is wound onto the reel. The frame further comprises a slotted member through which the sprinkler hose can pass and which serves to provide tension to prevent the hose from retracting and further provides an effective seal to prevent water from running into any portion of hose that remains unwound on the reel.

Abstract: An air broom for suspension from the hand of the user while standing wherein a power unit and an air impeller connected to and driven thereby support an outwardly extending hollow wand whose weight and leverage are coordinated with that of the power unit and air impeller so that the wand is cantilevered at an outward and downward angle with its remote end adjacent the ground. The apparatus is designed for flowing with a sweeping action and for gathering with a suction action.
