  • Publication number: 20040066033
Abstract: A hose assembly having a resilient hose constructed of an elastomeric material. A hose clamp is positioned over one end of the hose. This hose clamp is then secured to the tube by applying a molten thermoplastic material over a portion of the hose as well as a portion of the hose clamp. The hose assembly thus achieves accurate positioning of the hose clamp on the hose prior to installation of the hose assembly in its intended application.

  • Publication number: 20030090104
Abstract: A device for securing a hose clamp having an adjustment mechanism to a section of a flexible hose adjacent one end of the hose is disclosed. The device comprises an elongated web constructed of a flexible material. An adhesive material is disposed along at least a portion of one side of the web while the web is divided into a plurality of longitudinally adjacent tape segments. Each tape segment is substantially U-shaped having spaced sides, a base and thus forming a rectangular opening between the sides and the base. This rectangular opening, furthermore, is dimensioned to receive at least a portion of the clamp adjustment mechanism such that, in doing so, a portion of the tape segment overlies both a portion of the hose clamp as well as the hose.

  • Patent number: 5553896
Abstract: An electrically insulated fluid coupling assembly is provided having a female portion of the fluid coupling constructed of an electrically conductive material and having an elongated tubular stem. The assembly includes a fluid conduit having an inner liner constructed of an electrically insulating material or in some cases a low level conductive material surrounded by a layer constructed of an electrically conductive material, such as a metal braiding. An elastomeric covering is also provided around the metal braiding. The coupling stem is insertable into the inner layer of the conduit while a tubular ferrule constructed of an electrically conductive material is disposed around the stem as well as one end of the conduit. Furthermore, the ferrule compresses the conduit between the stem and the ferrule thus connecting the fluid coupling and conduit together.

  • Patent number: RE29264
Abstract: A tent for use with automobiles having a rear door which opens upwardly about a horizontal hinge attached to its top edge. The tent has a prism shape including a pair of substantially parallel triangular ends joined on two sides by quadrangles with the third side being open. One side fits over the top of the open door so that the other side hangs down from the top open end of the door in a substantially horizontal plane with its lower edge joined to the rear of the vehicle adjacent its bumper. The free edges of the ends seal against the rear quarter panels of the car. The ends are secured to the vehicle by elastic straps having hooks on their free edges which clip under convenient points on the car body.
