Abstract: There is provided edible compositions and methods of manufacturing edible compositions comprising a base comprising fruit and/or vegetable matter with a fibrous matrix and a water immiscible nutritional supplement held within, including on the surface of the fibrous matrix. The nutritional supplement can comprise nutritional, functional and/or nutraceutical oils such as unsaturated or partly unsaturated fatty acids from both animal, including fish, plant and algal sources. The composition may also comprise solid nutritional supplements. The fibrous matrix helps to both retain the nutritional supplement to prevent separation of the supplement within the base and further helps to organoleptically mask the presence of the nutritional supplements in the composition.

Abstract: There is provided animal attractants and in particular attractants for enhancing the attractiveness of food substances for consumption by a target animal, such as pet cats and dogs. The attractant is in the form of a sprayable liquid having organoleptic properties and that can be selectively dispensed onto the surface of or within a substance such as a food substance, to stimulate one or both of the smell and/or taste senses of a target animal to encourage the animal to consume the substance. The attractant comprises an oil or substantially wholly oil carrier in which is an olfactory and/or flavoring. The attractant may also be used to encourage the consumption of substances such as medicines, food supplements and dietetic preparations.

Abstract: The invention provides a liquid edible product comprising a first liquid component, a second liquid component dispersed in the first liquid component to form an emulsion, and an emulsifier comprising a sucrose ester or a functionally equivalent derivative of a sucrose ester. The liquid edible product is of sprayable viscosity and may include edible oil and have use as a non stick cooking composition or a shallow frying oil.
