    Abstract: An aligning cap is fitted rotationally and coaxially over one of a firearm scope's ends and has pointer-like directional indicator indicia. A set of scope reticulate components—cross-hairs and the like—or a scope alignment reference true to those components—is then brought operably into alignment with the aligning cap's reticulate means and the scope and cap together are re-set into alignment with the firearm bore's center or a firearm alignment so as to eliminate a canted disposition between scope and firearm.
