    Abstract: A landfill site is lined by attaching an impermeable line (90) to a support structure for the purpose of containing waste material and preventing substances from draining or being leached from the waste into the subsoil. The support structure comprises a plurality of substantially rectangular panels (10) with rolled edges (14, 15, 16, 17) and their corners removed. The panels are supported and located adjacent to the wall of the landfill site in a planar array by a plurality of bolts (30) which are connected to the wall of the landfill site and pass through the opening (32) constituted by the absent comers of the panels.
