Fredericus Touwslager has filed for patents to protect the following inventions. This listing includes patent applications that are pending as well as patents that have already been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

  • Publication number: 20070252137
Abstract: A non-volatile ferroelectric memory device is proposed which comprises a combination of an organic ferroelectric polymer with an organic ambipolar semiconductor. The devices of the present invention are compatible with—and fully exploit the benefits of polymers, i.e. solution processing, low-cost, low temperature layer deposition and compatibility with flexible substrates.

  • Publication number: 20070132947
Abstract: The invention relates to a method of manufacturing a replica, which method comprises the provision of a polymerizable resin composition between a front mold having a pre-shaped surface and a back mold having a pre-shaped surface, carrying out a curing treatment and removing the replica thus manufactured from the molds. The invention further relates to a replica obtained by carrying out a UV light-initiated cationic polymerization.

  • Publication number: 20060204751
Abstract: An optical record carrier (2) and associated methods and devices are described. The carrier (2) comprises at least one user information layer (4a,4b) arranged to be scanned by first radiation, and at least one content information layer (3a,3b) or label layer. The content information layer comprises representing content information and having a first transmission for said first radiation and a second, lower transmission for a different, second radiation.

  • Publication number: 20060194363
Abstract: An electrical element, such as a thin-film transistor, is defined on a flexible substrate, in that the substrate is attached to a carrier by an adhesive layer, and is delaminated after definition of the transistor. This is for instance due to illumination by UV-radiation. An opaque coating is provided to protect any semiconductor material. A heat treatment is preferably given before application of the layers of the transistor to reduce stress in the adhesive layer.

  • Publication number: 20050089791
Abstract: The invention pertains to a photo-sensitive composition which comprises a photochemical initiator, a polyacid or a salt thereof, and a poly(3,4-alkylenedioxythiophene) wherein the alkylene moiety is —(CH2)n- , n being an integer from 1 to 3, or 1,2-cyclo-hexylene, which may optionally be substituted, characterized in that the photochemical initiator is a water-soluble polymer comprising at least two azide or diazonium groups. Preferably, the water-soluble polymer is chemically stable at pH 6 or less, more preferably at pH 2 or less.
