    Abstract: A method of updating local map displaying databases of a distributed database via a broadcasting system with a transfer capacity. In a first step it is determined what information the distributed database needs to be updated with. In a second step the information is arranged according to a priority scheme. In a third step the information is transferred to the local map displaying databases via the broadcasting system according to the priority scheme and in dependence of the transfer capacity of the broadcasting system.
