  • Patent number: 11796649
Abstract: What is proposed is a method for optically measuring distances, in the case of which a first plurality of measuring pulses is emitted during a first measuring interval by means of a transmitting element of a transmitting unit at first emitting times, and wherein a second plurality of measuring pulses is emitted during a second measuring interval by means of the transmitting element of the transmitting unit at second emitting times. The method comprises the reception of reflected measuring pulses by means of a receiving element of a receiving unit assigned to the transmitting element at receiving times. The method further comprises the determining of a first amount of times-of-flight for each received measuring pulse, wherein the first amount of times-of-flight is determined by using the first emitting times.

  • Patent number: 10223802
Abstract: In a method for determining a depth map from stereo images, the disparity for a pixel is selected from a predefined quantity or set of predefined discrete disparity values that are distributed over the entire predefined disparity value range, whereby the distribution is non-uniform or has at least two different distances or intervals between different adjacent disparity values. This method makes it possible to more precisely determine (with finer resolution) especially only those disparities for which a more precise determination is required.

  • Publication number: 20170270680
Abstract: The invention relates to a method for determining a depth map from stereo images. The disparity for a pixel is determined from a discrete quantity of predefined disparity values, said disparity values are distributed over the entire predefined disparity value range and said distribution has at least two different distances between adjacent disparity values. One advantage of the method according to the invention is that it allows only those disparities for which a more precise determination is required to be more precisely calculated.

  • Patent number: 9704253
Abstract: In a method for determining a depth map from stereo images, the disparity for a pixel is determined from a discrete quantity of predefined disparity values that are distributed over the entire predefined disparity value range. The distribution has at least two different distances between different pairs of adjacent disparity values. In this method, it is possible that only those disparities for which a more precise determination is required, will be more precisely calculated.

  • Patent number: 8203553
Abstract: A method for calculating an image in the context of a volume visualization by ray casting using a plurality of computing nodes is provided. The method includes subdividing a volume that is to be visualized into subvolumes assigned to the plurality of computing nodes; assigning a subdivision of data to volume points and storing the subdivision of data in a memory associated with the plurality of computing nodes, the subdivision corresponding to the assignment of subvolumes to nodes; and computing at least one pixel by generating a ray leading through the volume, wherein computing includes taking into account points lying on the ray one after another.
