    Abstract: A method and system of controlling a single load by one of two available power sources. More particularly, the wiring and use of a relay to control a power feed to a packaged terminal unit, that provides both heating and cooling to an individual housing unit, from one of two power sources based upon a heating or cooling thermostat mode of operation. The relay is wired and configured so that when the thermostat is in one mode of operation, a primary side of the relay is open, or not complete, the normally-closed contacts are energized, and the packaged terminal unit is powered by one of the first and the second power source; and when the thermostat is in a second mode of operation, the primary side of the relay is triggered, the normally-open contacts are energized, and the packaged terminal unit ingle is powered by the other power source.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to cooling/heating units and their installation to wall or window openings, and more particularly pertains to a new and improved casing to secure the air conditioner while protecting against heat leakages through the casing itself. The wall casing is a cabinet structure containing a top side, a bottom side opposing the top side, and two opposing lateral sides being approximately orthogonal to the top and bottom sides. The top, bottom, and lateral sides forming substantially a box with the front and back opened. Each of the sides is double-walled and filled with an insulating material.

    Abstract: In a solar heating panel, the panel includes a plate-like solar collector having a serpentine shaped fluid conduit soldered to the plate collector in heat exchange relation therewith. Laterally directed manifolds are provided at opposite ends of the collector and are coupled in fluid communication with the serpentine flow path for coupling a plurality of such solar heating panels in parallel across a manifold structure. The panels include frame structures having a pair of elongated side frame members closed at opposite ends by means of end members with the side and end members having slots formed therein in registration one with the other such that when the side members are mated to the end members, the slots are in registration to define the side ports in the frame for passage therethrough of said manifold conduits.
