  • Publication number: 20240012136
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to corner-mounted sensor modules for vehicles containing a multitude of sensor systems based on different types of sensors. In particular, the disclosure relates to a vehicle comprising a first and a second sensor module. The first and a second sensor modules each comprises a rigid structure, one or more first sensors of a first sensor type, one or more second sensors of a second type and an attachment mechanism. A sum of the field of views of the first and second sensor modules is at least 540 degrees. Furthermore, one of the sensor modules is arranged at a front corner of the vehicle 1 and the other sensor module is arranged at a rear corner at the opposite side of the vehicle 1 such that a composed field of view of the two sensor modules covers 360 degrees in relation to a reference point at the vehicle 1.

  • Publication number: 20220358837
Abstract: A method, a control arrangement and a sensor target for enabling calibration of vehicle sensors. The sensor target comprises a plurality of recognition zones, each comprising a recognition pattern dedicated to a distinct sensor modality, for enabling calibration of vehicle sensors of the respective sensor modality; and localization dependent information associated with at least one recognition zone, provided to the vehicle via a vehicle sensor reading.

  • Patent number: 11050949
Abstract: Method and control unit in a vehicle comprising a digital rear view mirror, for detecting an object situated outside a default view of a display of the digital rear view mirror and visualizing the detected object for a driver of the vehicle. The method comprises detecting the object, situated outside the default view of the display, by a sensor; and adjusting the field of view of a subset of the display by widening the viewing angle so that the object becomes visible for the driver in the subset of the display, while the main portion of the display outputs the default view at a default viewing angle.

  • Patent number: 9340213
Abstract: A vehicle (2) has a tachograph (4) which generates a tachograph signal (6) containing information about current clock time and the times of the vehicle's movements, a driver's report input unit (8) generates a signal (10) containing information about driving and rest times for the driver, including monitoring (12) of driver activity which generates an alertness signal (14) containing information about the driver's activity in the vehicle. A safety system (18) has a control unit (20) and an alertness modelling unit (22) which calculates a current and a predicted tiredness values (KSS) for the driver based on the tachograph signal (6) and/or the driver's report signal (10). The tiredness values are conveyed to a control unit which determines control signals (24) for the vehicle's driver support systems.
