Abstract: Described are medical products including a plurality of polypeptides having an amino acid sequence derived from fibronectin, and particularly those polypeptides having an amino acid sequence derived from the type III connecting segment domain of human fibronectin. Such polypeptides have a higher affinity for binding endothelial cells as compared to platelets; thus resulting in a medical product having enhanced anti-thrombogenic properties. As such, medical products as described herein find particular use in vascular applications, and particularly to repair or replace vascular vessels prone to acute thrombosis. Related methods of manufacture and use are also described.
