  • Publication number: 20100327016
Abstract: A dispenser for dispensing ingredients/additives into a liquid contained in a container. The dispenser (10) includes a receptacle (14) an opening (15) into the receptacle (14) through which ingredients/additives can be loaded into the receptacle. A closure (17) can fit with opening (15) for retaining ingredients/additives in the receptacle (14). The receptacle (14) is at least in part located in an enclosure (16). The receptacle (14) and enclosure (16) are arranged such that relative movement therebetween can take place. A mounting (11, 20, 21) enables the mounting the enclosure to a container (C). Relative movement between the enclosure (14) and receptacle 16 results in the closure effect of the closure (17) with opening (15) to be removed so that the ingredients/additives in the enclosure (14) can be dispensed into liquid contained in the container. The mounting (11, 20, 21) can be part of a cap which is applied to an opening of the container.

  • Patent number: 6772910
Abstract: A resealable cap for a container is disclosed, the cap having a seal piercing element, the liquid in the container being initially separated from the piercing element by a seal. The cap includes a collar, a neck portion and a top portion. The top portion includes the seal piercing element. There is a liquid passageway through the cap, after the top portion has been moved from an initial position to a closed position (thus piercing the seal) and thence to an open position. Thereafter the cap can be resealed and opened repeatedly, by movement of the top portion from the open position to the closed position and vice versa. Numerous embodiments of the invention are disclosed.

  • Patent number: 6679375
Abstract: A cap for a container, for a drink of two components, can be stored or carried with the components stored separately. Mixing prior to consumption is effected by a pushing device incorporated into a cover on the cap, which cover is releasably secured to the container. The pushing device bears against a tablet holder the base of which has a low burst of strength. The pushing device can be one of a number of embodiments, all of which can operate with or without an annular cutting ring and flexible seal adjacent the underside of the tablet holder. The cover and tablet holder form a liquid seal with the top of the container until the cover is removed.

  • Patent number: 6230884
Abstract: A cap for a container where a drink, made of two components, can be stored or carried with the components stored separately. The components are mixed prior to the consumption of the drink. The cap includes a collar secured to the container and a top which is in two parts. The top is moveable between an open and a closed position. When the top is initially in the open position, a basket between the top and the liquid initially holds the material, which can be a powder or tablet. The top is initially closed to release the seal between the liquid and the material, the drink is shaken, and the top reopened for a passageway from the liquid to the exterior of the cap. A cover is releasably secured over the cap.
